Brendan Lynch

Lynch grew up in Los Angeles, his youth was a kaleidoscope of graffiti, animation, and the visual media that surrounds the city. Conflating high and low cultural aesthetics, Lynch uses a variety of mediums, styles, and marks exploring the different ways you can interact with the canvas. His awareness of the evolution of painting and how it's percieved through context, gives way to his manipulation of these works in their truest form. Allowing the viewer to experience a range of mark making within the same space. Lynch has exhibited at Bugada & Cargnel, Paris; White Cube, London; Museum of Contemporary Art Pino Pascali, Polignano a Mare, Thomas Brambilla Gallery; Bergamo, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens; Sint-Martens-Latem, Garage Museum; Moscow, Galerie Rodolphe Janssen; Brussels, Zabludowicz Collection; London, and Deitch Projects; New York.
